About the Tas Valley Vineyard

You've heard of the vineyards of the Rhone, Loire and Napa Valley. Well now there's the Tas Valley, home of fine English wine.

In a small sun-kissed corner of the Norfolk countryside, at Tas Valley Vineyard, we are producing fine white wines that compare with anything in the world, from the vineyards of New Zealand to those of the German Rhineland.

Using the latest vineyard management techniques and training systems, English winemaking has come a long way from the 1950s when grapes were starting to be commercially planted after a break of several hundred years.

Tas Valley's 4,000 vines were planted in 1997 on our three-acre south-facing site. Hand-picked to ensure high quality, they yielded their first vintage in 2000.

By planting Germanic varieties which ripen well in cooler weather, our vines are ideally suited to both the English climate and the vineyard's own microclimate. We a range of single-varietal and blended wines.

The result is a range of dry to medium dry aromatic white wines, a rosé and red wine, all produced using the very latest winemaking techniques.

We welcome visitors to the vineyard to learn more about the complexities of growing grapes in England and offer free tastings and cellar door sales.
